The Katana is a curved, single-edged Japanese sword. It consists of a curved blade (ha), a guard (tsuba), a handle (tsuka) and pommel (kashira).
There is a Kevlar reinforcement of the blade tip. The curved fiberglass core of the katana has a 15x6 mm profile.
The hilt is 27 cm long and has a steel tube and lead in it for better balance. The pommel (kashira) and guard (tsuba) are a brass colour.
The hilt wrap (tsuka-ito) is available in blue, with the older simpler style wrap (hira maki.)
The colour of the stingray skin (same) under the wrap is black. With the embedded ornaments (menuki) under the wrap in style number 5.
