Polish - Saber

The inspiration for this LARP foam weapon model came from earlier versions of Polish sabres of the 16th and 17th century. The the style of open L-shaped guard was probably influenced by the trade between southern Polish cities and Venice, where this type of guard was very popular in the 15th and 16th centuries.

The Sabre foam blade has a durable 15x6 mm curved fiberglass core. The tip is reinforced with Kevlar reinforcement. The sabre hilt is made of hard semi-flexible rubber. Inside the handle there is steel and lead for better balance.
