Zizka Mace

The "Zizka" Mace is inspired by the flanged maces of the 15th and 16th century. This type is associated with the Czech national hero Jan Žižka.

A mace is a blunt weapon, a type of club that uses a heavy head  of steel on the end of a wooden or metallic handle to deliver powerful strikes. The mace was popular for close combat, especially during the medieval period.

A good blow from a mace is powerful enough to cause damage even through armor. Because they were simple and cheap to make, these types of weapons were common amongst peasant rebels and conscript armies. The maces of foot soldiers were usually quite short, while those of cavalrymen were longer and better suited for blows delivered from horseback.

The head is in graphite colour.
